As A long time resident of Gary I've been coming to the Hudson since I used to be in the daycare back In the 80s. I pray that the city funds this place.. A lot of the equipment is outdated.. They have gotten new additions which are amazing. But there can be so much more done. There shouldn't be any broken workout equipment that doesn't work at all on the floor. Has been on the floor for years and it doesn't work. It's not fair that a place that's so beautiful doesn't get the funding and attention that it needs especially since most of the city still goes here. We recently got a new director and his name is JV he is amazing and it's so professional and he brought in a staff with him that is so professional they make you feel like you're not in Gary. The janitorial staff is pretty chill except for the fact that they always want to rush you out at 8 o'clock when the gym doesn't close until 9. It gets very irritating especially since you have to rush in there somedays after getting off work even on Saturdays they close at 1 but you better be done by 12 o'clock which I don't understand. I do get that we're dealing with this grown people but they should not take that out on the peop
